My wonderful wife got me a coupla Tesla shirts, a key fob and a hat for Christmas. The quality of all the items is good but I feel a bit old in them like I’m wearing mesh -not age appropriate.
Once on a business trip I bought of those shirts with today’s trend of a paisley-vomit shoulder design and besides that trip, I’ve worn it once. I’ve proudly worn my Tesla shirts (no comments yet) but it still feels funny.

I’m betting that most of Tesla’s customers are in their late 40’s and early 50s and while it’s important that today’s teens and twenty something’s (the ones who watch G4) show their support for Electric Vehicles, what about offering something less aggressive in shirt designs?

I’m not saying everyone who can afford a $100K car wears exclusively Golf and Polo shirts. Plenty of “art types” pepper the list: http://www.teslamotorsclub.com/tesla-roadster/418-semi-confirmed-owners-list.html so everything is fair game.

Someday when Tesla sponsors bike races and Bowling (! J? ) tournaments, those shirts will be appropriate but for now nothing beats a Basic beefy “T” with a simple Tesla graphic. Something more like these: http://www.carmansgarage.com/category/.brandedclothing/
Or these http://www.lifeisgood.com/
The hats are good. Let’s see some subtle shirts to go with them.

My only purchase was one of these:

other types of merchandise?

I won't be buying a Tesla any time soon, being a student and all, but it would be fun to have a die-cast scale model of the car to fantasize about until I get a fancy engineering job someplace...
