    The ACP long ranger

Interest in this concept seems to have perked up recently.

Here is a collection of pictures:

Does anybody know any specs on this thing: horsepower, wattage, fuel capacity, etc.?

    Found my own answers:

500cc motorcycle engine is used, housed in a small, aerodynamic package. ~20kW DC

There is little question that this 350 pound trailer functioned as planned - sustaining freeways speeds for as long as the 9.5 gallon tank had gasoline

    Thanks, Wikipedia!

Great photos, too, thanks, TEG, and thanks, to whereever you got them from.

There are links interspersed with those photos, including this one with the specs, so you didn't really need Wikipedia...

    Specs: AC Propulsion Inc.

Retail design should be improved estheticaly and functionaly but this is a very good proof of concept.
I believe in Tesla as a concept, a brand, and a suite of products. No matter who conceived, started, runs, or maintains, I hope it ultimately prevails and lasts.

Right you are, didn't notice the links at first, thanks.

Interesting that the generator produces about 20kW. The Tesla fast charger runs about 17 kW, which is just about the same rate that, on average, would be used driving at 60 MPH.

I would imagine that the Whitestar, being a bit bigger, would need a little more power. The Roadster also prevents the car from being driven when plugged into the charger, but that should be easy enough to overcome. The car could simply recognize that it is being charged by a mobile device, not a stationary one.

This would work nicely for the Whitestar.
