Perhaps all stories like this one, and even mundane ones like people doing their daily commutes in EVs, should end with the tag line "It works in my real world, Mr Clarkson".

Just writing this from the Moat House bar. I had a word with the staff about the HPC - the barman remembered me from the visit on the way back from Ireland over a year ago

I've arranged to see the GM on my return trip this week, so I'll let you know how I get on then.

An update: rather than move the HPC to the 70A supply, they are bringing a new 70A supply to the HPC. Phase 1 happened yesterday and phase 2, bringing it online, happens in the next two weeks.

That's some commitment, so please use this as much as possible. These guys will be a key node on the supercharger network in a year or two so we want them to be happy.

Thanks for sorting this out. I might be in need of this in 2 weeks time

Agreed, it's critical that we all use and publicise these sites... they are spending serious money and many represent great locations for future AC and DC 'fast' charge.

Zero:Net has three great locations in the Lake district (including Tebay) with a couple more hotels to be announced soon.... it's possible for a Tesla Roadster to reach this area from anywhere in the UK and Europe thanks to the HPC network

Hows about we arrange that invasion of the Goodwood Festival of Speed, then everyone goes on a tour to take in the sights?
