The other options were changing the outside temperature, turning the AC on and putting the windows down.

I figured on 7' ¾" high. Vger posted that he heard a comment from Franz that it was 7'.

I figure the body is slightly narrower than the S, it's difficult to tell as the only side-by-side pic only show half the Model S, but I calculate it at 75" versus the S at 77.3". The S looks like it has wider wheel arches, maybe as a result of the 21" wheels?

There are no length pics available where anything can be measured to scale.

Didn't one of the news reports mention that it was about 4 inches longer than a Model S?

The wheelbase is 4" longer, but the X's overhangs look shorter, so it appears that the total vehicle length is only a smidge longer.

Hmmm, good point. Well it'll be interesting to see where they get the extra space.

I got the body to be wider.

Once you get the height, using other pictures, you can calculate the length.

Agreed, but I didn't want to assume the length based on an assumption of the height. Less variables if you can measure it against a definite known.

BTW, the X looks so far advanced that we might hope Tesla issues specs sooner rather than later.

What can we assume to be the height needed for opening the falcon doors?

Is it probable that it will have an option not to open fully if in a garage the height is restricted?

    Yes, IMO.

They do that with the rear hatch on the model S so it is safe to assume they will allow the height of the falcon wing doors to be adjusted.
