Tesla Motor tenth-best car brand.

I think they're number 2 or 1 at least!! who needs Ford???

I think this is a major plus for a company that is so new to make the top 10. Tesla has sold less than 2000 cars, in the USA and only one model and yet cracked the top 10.

Congrats Tesla!! This is a real feather in your hat!! This shows what a great job you have done to date. keep it up! Tesla should quietly promote this.

I'm honestly (and pleasantly) surprised by this because I really thought that nobody really knows about Tesla yet, given the limited production of the Roadster, the obvious complete lack of any mainstream advertising by the company, and the scarce number of TM stores. I kind of figured it was still our own little Bay Area secret club. I'm really happy that I'm wrong and apparently word is getting around!

I come from a family that owns 5 Subarus, so I don't say this lightly. Tesla deserves that spot. Grats.

Without a car this is good as a brand but kinda empty in substance.

When the public knows about Tesla's safety they will go up.

I believe that the consumer union does not allow their consumer reports to be used in advertisements.

VFX... that's so true. The general automotive buying public barely knows what TM brings to the game. Hopefully, this recognition will help propel Tesla Motors into the mainstream of automotive offerings.

I think it's pretty suspicious that Audi, VW, and Porsche are all absent from the list and yet tiny Tesla that few have even heard of is in there.

I can't wait to see this next year!!

Is this an EV specific thing? "I can't wait to see...". I decided to take care not to miss real life while waiting! Or I might find my life empty and boring after event XYZ arrives.

When you look at the Consumer Report's criteria for selection of the best brand (quality, value, safety, performance, design/style, technology/innovation, eco friendliness), it is easy to imagine that Tesla can sweep most every category once the brand is better known.
