I wonder if Elon was partly responding to this: The Mini-E's True Believer Gets the Keys to the First BMW ActiveE | PluginCars.com

--------
According to Dave Buchko, who heads technology communications at BMW, Moloughney is the nation’s first ActiveE driver, and he will get the keys from Ludwig Willisch, the new president of BMW North America.

“This guy was chosen because at this stage he’s logged more miles, over 70,000, than anyone else in the Mini-E program,” Buchko said. “Maybe more miles than anybody else in an electric vehicle, period.

The 100K pack was replaced at 40km so we don't have a true data point yet for a 100K pack.
I'm pretty sure that there are a few roadsters that are over 100k miles, but they may not have the original battery anymore(or at least have had bricks replaced). The one that Elon tweeted about seems like one with an original battery perhaps?
