Model X Falcon Doors

Thanks Lyon... Can't wait to see what creative solution they have come up with for the falcon doors ! Personally I like the falcon doors for the rear, may have hesitated a bit if they were also for the front doors .

My theory ... remember those station wagon back doors that hinged on both the top and side so you could open from either direction? Yep, that's my theory. Depending on what you need (complete access to the back or traditional opening w/roof rack), you can have it.

Just a theory. I have no reason to believe this is true. But that would be awesome.

What I suggest, though, (and this would take some engineering, but nothing that hasn't been done before) would be to make the doors capable of both side opening and fold-up falcon-wing.

I grabbed a shot of the inside of the falcon door that I'm not sure I've seen anywhere before.



Overall, there seems to be more interior storage options (inside the doors particularly) than in the S. Hopefully this makes it to production.

I like the model X, but I'm not a big fan of the falcon doors though. I would really prefer suicide doors, but it wouldn't be a dealbreaker for me.
