power degradation as the battery power decreases?

I used to have a remote control car that when the power would deplete the motor would struggle to drive the car up hills or on carpet etc.

With the Model S will the acceleration and ability to go up hills etc decrease as the battery gets to the bottom 15 or 20 miles? etc?

Tesla doesn't allow their battery packs to discharge completely like an R/C car. To do so is damaging to the long term health of the battery. You will get several warnings that the battery is getting low and then it will coast you to a stop and shut down to protect itself. Read the article below for more information. It's old information on the Roadster ESS but a lot of the info still applies.

In other words; no, the Model S will not drive like your R/C car just before the batteries go "dead"
