I just found: ACEA - European Automobile Manufacturers' Association

Nothing really new, they want to use the Type 2 (aka "Mennekes") connector to be used in Europe for public charging and later on also for home charging.

The Type 2 Combo (with DC connector) should also be supported for fast charging.

From what I understand they make no recommendation for the connector on the car, but they manufacturer should deliver a cable with which the end-user can connect it to a Type 2 connector.

They have a presentation online with all the information, it's worth reading it!

Companies supporting this:
- BMW Group
- DAF Trucks
- Daimler
- FIAT S.p.A.
- Ford of Europe
- General Motors Europe (what!?)
- Jaguar Land Rover
- MAN Truck & Bus
- Porsche
- PSA Peugeot Citroën
- Renault Group
- Scania
- Toyota Motor Europe
- Volkswagen Group
- Volvo Cars and Volvo Group

I'm a bit surprised about GM. I thought GM was frustrating the standardization process in the USA?

But I'm really happy with this proposal
