So many of the company quotes sound like direct lifts fromf Tesla's early press releases.

As TM have amply demonstrated, "planning" and "delivering" are two completely separate issues...

So true, so true. And this is why I tend to believe Mr Siry when he says he has little faith in Fiskers timeline. It seems neither Fisker Coachbuild or their partner Quantum has never actually built complete cars, just bits and pieces. Important pieces mind you, but still it's always the small details that gets you.... Like: a transmission isn't a problem, we've been building them for ages....

    Cheaper Fisker?

Frisker say a cheaper car in the works.

"One of the future products we have is something that is significantly less than what will be on the market first," said Fisker spokesman Russell Datz. "It may be a step above [the Chevrolet Volt and Tesla Motors Model S], but it's hard to say right now."

Inside Line says: Fisker is working on expanding its lineup. But it's not saying whether the newest addition will have a yoga-esque name. — Anita Lienert, Correspondent
This new car should probably get it's own thread.

How can it be " significantly less" and still " a step above" the Model S ?!?!

So it's above the Model S, but lower than the Karma? That assumes the aforementioned are not on par. Even if they aren't, it's a pretty narrow market segment they are shooting for.
