Thread: Weird license plates

    Weird license plates

Saw these parked next to each other:

    Wondering what the point was.
Maybe so they are hard to remember, or difficult to make out when the car goes by fast?
    Some kind of code?

    Wow. That's a bit surprising.

    From there:
im trying to a bunch of k and x to mmix ppl up haha
See, I was gonna change my plate to one of the confusing letters like
    [88B8BB8]
    [XKXKXXK]
    [7Z7ZZ7Z]
    [D0D00D0D]
    [MNNMNNM]
.....But dont you guys think these plates will attract even MORE attention than a regular plate? The odd combo just calls people to look.

Thought: do simple vanity plates act as an anti-theft device?

Sarasota isn't a huge place but I still amazed at how often people say they saw my Roadster driving here or there. Definitely being one of the very few Tesla's round here makes that happen, but people also notice (and remember) the license plate....

    Hmmm?

I thought of illegible / unmemorable plates when I was a little boy... these ones surely take it over the top!

That one makes sense...there are a lot of mountains in Virginia aren't there?
