    I just spoke with the service mgr for my region who said a new firmware update is changing this so that it will balance the cells after a std mode charge. You won't ever have to do a range-mode charge just to balance it. I can't remember if he said he updated my firmware with it... or whether it will be in the next firmware update. I'll find out.

    Yep, I just received a firmware update (4.6.3) that was supposed to address balancing and also the issue I had in the past with the J1772 adapter unable to recognize the 75amp line and dial it down appropriately. (I'll test that over at clipper creek in auburn when I get back home.)
