This is the solution to a range problem.
Maybe add some cargo space on top of it to even increase its image as a "long ranger". There is no need to sell these things to every customer. Make it as an option and soon rental services will grow offering it. Perfect.
I wish that Tesla's open position for a generator guy is something along these lines. Hybrid whitestar is equivalent to no whitestar.

I believe in Tesla as a concept, a brand, and a suite of products. No matter who conceived, started, runs, or maintains, I hope it ultimately prevails and lasts.
