Charging port stops flashing blue

Yes. After a short time the flashing stops and the port becomes unlit. It's so the car won't attract undue attention while it's charging. Although mine flashes green rather than blue.
 
Just FYI, there are a series of colors, to indicate different things. White-ready to be plugged in. Blue - "communicating" with the power source. Orange - issue with the line, but it will charge. Pulsing red means there is an issue with the line and that the car is reducing the current draw. Solid Red means the problem with the line is so bad that the car will not even attempt to charge. Flashing green, all is well and it is charging.


As side note, I was on the Chevy Volt website and if you want the charge port to lite up like our MSs do, you have to pay $175 for that option.

Also, the speed of the green flashing indicates how full the battery is. Faster flashing indicates more empty and slower flashing indicates more full. When the battery is almost full, the green flashing is more like a slow respiration rate...
