Tesla Owners to Visit SpaceX?

Sure.

I can't find the original thread, but the impression I got was that a tour was permanently off the table.

I would like to do this but had the same impression as bollar

Found this note in the DFW Google Group from July 7, 2014:

Unfortunately, we’re going to have to put any show-and-tells on hold indefinitely. I hope it’s something that can happen in the future, but at this time we don’t have the infrastructure or staff necessary to devote to this. Let’s stay in touch and see how things are looking for us in a year or so.

So, maybe it's time to try again...

we could make this a massive north american meet. as a canadian would be up for it!!

I've been toying/vocalizing this idea with the Tesla Road Trip crew for awhile now as well, but haven't done anything towards actually making it happen. I think we would end up having to limit the number of cars and people. If left "unlimited" we would likely overrun Space X and Tesla's charging infrastructure.

I'd drive up from San Antonio in a second.

If there are no other SpaceX connections, I have a friend who's been there in LA for 5 years. Had a pretty sweet private tour a few years back.

I thought jimmyo was talking about Hawthorne as a different option.

Any movement on this? Got some falcon wing doors I'd love to share with falcon rocket designers.
