Acceptable way to laugh in the Tesla Motors Club

I am wondering what, if any, is our accepted way of expressing laughter.

I've scoured the emoticons and found not it.

Use writing that is unquestionably funny.

As in, when responding to one of the longest-enrolled and most prolific author's post suggesting members refrain from speculating, but wait until facts appear,

"You must be new here".

Put differently, with appropriate language it is utterly unnecessary to resort to emoticons or simple abbreviations. And FAR more effective and memorable.

Listen to this mild-mannered Mod. Emoticons are add-ons for clarity (especially to denote sarcasm). Smiles and laughs in person are great, but they don't translate well to the digital word (except, to some degree, instant messaging/texting). You've got a few minutes to think when it comes to a posting, so a "haha" or a "lol" are really unnecessary.

You should say something that makes me say "oh..mman!"

As a former BITNET Relay user, and IRC user/admin/server developer, I offer that haha has been around for decades and remains the norm once the silly kids lose their "LOL" l33tsp34k.
