CHAdeMO to borrow and return

Hi All,

I'm traveling with the family for the holidays in our new 70D (just delivered on Dec 21). I traveled from Ithaca, NY to Charlotte, NC via the 95 Superchargers...traffic was rough and its a good bit out of the way for us. We are planning on returning via 81 and I was wondering if anyone in the Charlotte area had a CHAdeMO that I could borrow. I will ship it insured via FedEx or UPS once I get back home on Monday. I am planning to check with Tesla in Charlotte but I wasn't sure if they stock the adapters. Please PM me if you can help.

If you don't find one locally in Charlotte, there's another forum member (islandbayy) who has generously begun "renting" CHAdeMO adapters to others for only the cost of round-trip shipping.

From the last post on that thread (early this month), it looks like his service has been quite popular, so I don't know if they're available right now, but certainly worth asking.

I just got one from islandbayy and during our conversation he mentioned that he was traveling this week so I don't know if you will get him in time now or not to get a CHAdeMO.

I spoke to Charlotte service today and I'm bringing the car in on Wednesday to get a few things looked at. They stock the adapter so I'm just going to pick one up so that I have it in the future. Thanks everyone for the help / suggestions.
