From year to year we spot a steadily growing interest for Tesla cars in Russia. However, there still is indefinite number of rumors about the lack of necessary charging infrastructure beyond capital cities - like Moscow or Saint-Petersburg. Though it might have some sense in terms of lengthy distances between cities, in Moscow Tesla Club we are pretty sure that our country is already a perfect place for driving Tesla in everyday mode.
To prove that we have planned an ultimate journey. What we've been facing were a standard Model S P85, a 870 miles (1400 km) distance from Moscow to Minsk and back, about 23 degrees F outside (-5 C) with a chilly wind, and no public chargers on the route at all - only a hope that the hotel's staff in Smolensk would be kind enough to let us use the 380V power outlet on their parking lot.
