With the flood of production cars, it is hard to weed out info on Sig INFO. My delivery specialist told me my car was in production, " Congratulations" he said! That was two weeks ago. Question: What does PRODUCTION MEAN? My res is in the late 700s and vin is 500s. Thanks

I wouldn't hold my breath...
If your DS did in deed have any specific information, I'm sure he would have told you a delivery date...I have not heard anyone being given this info yet...
The DS's definition of "Production" may be referring to the act of something being produced....
I think mining Al ore that will ultimately be stamped into a cars side panels could be considered "production" in the strictest sence of the word... Thats probably what he was refering too... : )

I've been told my Sig, VIN 415, will enter production "soon." So far there's been no deliveries of Signature vehicles that I'm aware of. I'm not at all sure why they haven't delivered any Signature vehicles but I suppose they will "soon."

I'm VIN#502 and haven't heard anything yet. What concerns me is Tesla gave guidance that they would ship around 16000 cars this quarter in order to meet about 50000 deliveries this year. I don't see that happening without a serious ramp up in production. My hope for year end delivery is quickly fading as it takes about 18 days via train to arrive from California to Florida. Hopefully things change this week though...

I have Signature vin # 803 on order, my DS told me last week before he went on vacation that the goal was to deliver all Sig's by end of year. Like Primetime I am in Miami and very concerned about that happening. I have been working with my DS because of all the chatter about the 72A Charger. He did confirm for me that all Founders and Signature cars will have that option included.

I got a note last Saturday from my DS, to say that my Sig X VIN 00683 was scheduled to begin final assembly the week of December 7. That's the first 'news' of any kind that's been forthcoming from Tesla since my VIN was assigned, a long time ago.

Thanks to all of you Sig owners that responded. I contacted my DS today asking if he thought maybe they were warehousing them all (1500) as they were built to make a huge distribution toward the end of the year (which would be a big logistical hurdle I imagine).
His reply:
I am personally thinking that they are likely going to do a large push of just Model X’s. Whether or not that is true has yet to be determined, but I coincidentally have the majority of my Model X’s holding at a particular point in production, and if they are planning on completing production by the end of the year, it’s what would make the most sense to me. Again, this isn’t confirmed, but it’s what I’m speculating.

I dont know about you guys, but I'm tired of the speculating. I looked at my old S page hourly waiting for delivery info. Now I am only twice a day. That's progress.

That is encouraging news for a 2015 delivery date. I really hope that Tesla gets this party rolling, now that it's the beginning of December.

This fits with the theory that Model X are waiting for a part or two to be finished in volume before they can finish building the cars. Which gives us no information as to when the issue will be resolved. Sigh...

Here's today's email from my DS. I'm VIN 169. No promises. But all the stars seem to point to some kind of massive December effort - I hope.

"The latest information that we have received is that we expect the Model X to be entering production during the first half to middle of December. As it is now December, I am expecting to hopefully start hearing updates on production. You will be the first to hear once I have received an update!'

No production information for mine. That said, I was told to expect before the end of the year.

It seems we have a fairly consistent message of "before the end of the year". Let those trucks roll!

(I'm departing for a New Years' trip to Florida on Dec 26... I'm hoping it'll be in Model X.)

We received the "in production, congrats!" email from our DS a couple weeks ago. On Monday we got this: "Your Model X is moving through production as we speak. I am really hoping delivery will be in second half of December. What is your availability around this time?" The website still doesn't reflect that it's in production, so we don't know what to believe and are trying not to get our hopes up too much, but it's hard since we have a lot of driving to do at Christmas and would be so happy to be doing it in the X! The waiting continues... (Sig 351, vin 66X)

Funny, I was in the same position last year with my P85D. We took the auto train down to Florida on Dec 24. Managed to take delivery on the 22 and get the car partially wrapped in time to take it. We drove back and upon return I had the rest of the wrap completed. Less than ideal, but up until a day or two before we weren't sure if we were going to have a car for the trip. I had already sold and shipped the P85+.
