Putting exterior ez-pass onto front of car without drilling

For those of you that use EZ-PASS or the equivalent, at least in NY and NJ the regular inside windshield unit as it does not work unless you dangle it out the window! Is there a way to install the exterior EZ-PASS which is supposed to go on top of the licence plate and is a straight bar, without having to drill into the body?

I mounted on top of the license plate using some thick rubber washers and longer screws so everything was tight. Note: if you don't have a front plate, this probably won't work.

Pop the nose cone, mount with double sided tape, replace nose cone

Many of us old timers stuck the license plate pass inside the nose cone. There is a bar above the bumper and the pass velcros onto it very nicely. If you search, there are several threads here that dealt with that. Mine works every time.

It's due to the UV filtering in the windshield. There is a small area to the right of the mirror mount where there is no UV filtering. Unfortunately, it's not large enough to work reliably with the EZ-Pass.
