Can the TPMS tell if I CHECK the pressure?

I drove this afternoon in the coldest weather since I've owned my MS.

A few minutes after setting out, my TPMS put up a warning that the right front pressure was low. I pulled up the status screen, and the right front was an amber "37". The left front was a white "37" and the rears were white "38".

I figured that maybe the right front had dipped down to 36 for a minute, set off the alarm, and the alarm hadn't self-cancelled yet.

By the time I got home, all of the pressures were up to 39, but the right front still showed amber. I re-booted the center screen to try to clear the alarm. Nope. I turned off the car, got out, and came back. Nope.

Finally I cursed for a couple of minutes, got my compressor, and put a couple of psi in all the tires. I checked again, and the alarm was gone.

So: Was the TMPS waiting for me to actually manually check the tire pressure, even after the pressure had got back into spec from driving friction? Or just a coincidence?
