The 'team B' was brought in to execute, not re-think everything or try and get all creative, b/c they were just not set up for that. But that's what they did. They all fancied themselves as car designers and being able to raise money...but they were't that either. They've left a trail of three companies that they've bankrupt.

I think the guys who brought team B - with a history of destruction of 2 companies were beyond stupid. It is like hiring Cheney to be a peace maker.

But the short version is the chairman wanted to 'go big' instead of growing organically. The majority (not all!) of the board thought the only way this was possible was by bringing in an auto exec, and they theorized only an auto exec could raise money for such a venture.

There is of course a LOT more to the story, bu that's the synopsis.

When I saw the first video, I initially thought they were demonstrating the rigidity of the shell... thought wrong.
