It'd neat to meet with in the real world while we tour the factory and pick up the car of our dreams!

Ah, a 70 delivery! I'm back and forth DAILY on 70 or 70D (ordering in October) so any info on acceleration and range/fully charged amount would be amazing!!! And pictures!! I'm doing factory delivery also but flying from AZ for it

Thanks Azax! Will keep the s70 contingent updated.
From looking at the numbers, looks the only real step up in acceleration and power is at the 85D, and to a lesser extent, the 85. But that is mostly armchair quarterbacking stuff.
So unless you are willing to go with 85 and up, don't focus on straight line speed as much. My 2 cents.
And the difference between 70 and 70D on range is minimal IMHO.
I used the money I saved on the pano roof, autopilot and trim.

I'll be there at 4PM. Originally set up for 2PM, but we have another thing going on first. We will probably arrive at around 3:30PM in a black Lexus RX300 (our trade in).

We're picking up our 85D. Can't wait!!

By the way, here's my TODO list for the next few weeks:
1. Have OptiCoat applied
2. Tint windows
3. Plasti-dip wheels black (My S is Midnight Silver)
4. Install BlackVue 650 2 channel dashcam
5. Get the NVX subwoofer kit

I will post before/after pics for each step.

This was asked earlier and there was no answer from you.

You are aware that you will have to pay the full Fremont CA sales tax at the time you get the car, right? That is, I think, currently 9.5%. California does vehicle sales tax differently than most (if not all) other states on sales by out-of-state buyers.

Yes, you get a cool tour of the factory. But am pretty sure everyone gets it, you just have to make your way over there. You get to see. All. The. Robots. So many of them, you do not want to be around when they go all HAL on us.
We did see a Model X, chasing us for a bit on the road while we were taking the intro drive with my car. Cool!

Yeah, I was looking for you a bit but there were just so many people. Our pickup took longer than expected and we didn't do the tour (because we had two more events that day). We (any any Tesla owner) can come back and do the tour at a later date.

Our inventory 85D had a big scratch above the driver side front wheel. So will get a loaner as they fix that.

did you have any issue with the scratch or did they apologize immediately? I only ask because I bought a demo and when I went to pick up my car the tail light was cracked. The delivery experience specialist actually argued with me about it being part of buying a demo unit!
