Hello!

How is everyone?

We are looking for a Tesla roadster for one afternoon for a show in central London 26th May in Covent Garden. EcoForecourt is hosting a future car exhibition in conjunction with the Gumball 3000 rally this year and we are looking for a Tesla owner in the UK who might be interested in displaying their car for less than a day at this high profile event.

The owner will have a VIP pass for the legendary Gumball 3000 start grid and even a pass for our launch party on the evening of the 25th at the trafalgar hotel should you wish to join us and the celebrities! The car will be in a secure environment for observation only, the public will not be able to touch the car don't worry!

You will also have the opportunity to drive the Tesla down the awesome start up line as the Gumball sets off on it's 13th annual rally with all the crowds cheering with an incredible atmosphere!

If you are interested please feel free to get in touch with us, we'd love to have you on board!

Alternatively if anyone knows of anyone that might be interested we'd love to hear from you.

Many thanks everyone!

And I think it may have been a similar situation where a Roadster participated in the start, but didn't run the whole race/rally.

Unfortunately since this is a "race" run on public roads among routine traffic, the event is not without controversy.
For some it is a thrill to see so many tricked out supercars going through traffic, for others it becomes a dangerous distraction.

In 2007 the German police stopped this race in Germany. I like the autobahn but I have no sympathy for Gumball racers.

For kind of EV/Tesla ralley I have some ideas :

using public roads, GPS sender is mandatory and viewable via google maps, police has access to this data and may check drivers and cars, everyone who gets a ticket is thrown out of the race immediately.

To pepper it little bit:wink: :

message from HQ : your PEM fan is switched off for 10 minutes, good luck !
message from HQ : you have won 30 minutes charging with our mobile HPC, meet us at GPS coordinates x,y
to be continued...

Hi Everyone

This year is different for gumball - they are looking for a green element to the event and they have bought us (EcoForecourt) on board to put on a sustainable motoring dispaly just for covent garden - so the car will not be taking part in the Gumball.

We have also contacted Tesla and they haven't got back to us - not sure why?

If anyone is interested it would be great to have you there and a brilliant experience for anyone involved, along with the entire Gumball grid we have an awesome Peugeot EX1 on our display (google it) super rare proof of concept, 100% electric, and many more.

Hope to hear from you.

Thanks

James
