Please join me, a P85D owner, and other electric vehicle drivers for an event (of which I am an organizer) with a road rally beginning in Ventura and ending in Ojai a week from this Sunday, September 13th. This is part of a national coordination of events, National Drive Electric Week. It is important to start in Ventura as described below.
Gather at the public chargers in front of the beach parking structure adjacent to the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Ventura at 11:00 a.m. We will put signs on our EVs then drive together using as many surface streets as possible then to the parking lot at 441 Ojai Avenue in Ojai (the Women's Center Building). That morning the building will be occupied by The Center for Spiritual Living participants who are helping. They will offer us Jersey Mike's submarine sandwiches and baked goods as a small fundraiser while we are present in the lot as lunch. We will stage our vehicles at that parking lot for public viewing and to answer questions from the public from about 12:30 to 3:00 p.m.
We are making publicity to inform the public we will be there and expect a large crowd of interested non-EV owners who we will explain about Zero Emissions Vehicles.
Note that on the same morning Tesla Santa Barbara has scheduled a coffee gathering at the Sales and Service Center. Coffee and Car Talk at Tesla Santa Barbara | Tesla Motors
It is theoretically possible to do both events.
If you do the Tesla Santa Barbara event please leave early to come to our NDEW event. It is very important that we, as electric vehicle drivers explain to the public about the benefits of EV use and adoption. That is what National Drive Electric Week is all about. Please come out.

Time: 11:00 a.m. (Leave around 11:30 a.m. in road rally to Ojai)
Next Leg: Arrive Parking Lot 441 Ojai Avenue, Ojai, CA around 12:30 p.m.
Stay in Lot for about two Hours eating lunch and explaining to public about our vehicles with large contingent of Teslas and other Electric Vehicles
