Major Milestone: 500 Superchargers Worldwide

Sampling at 00:30, 8/19, UTC, the count looks like 499 or 498, depending on where you look...

Remember there are one or two locations that are split up (somewhere in CT?) showing as two locations in some places.

FWIW: i also saw the 500 milestone hit published on the site yesterday and when i checked today it had dropped back to 499 ...

The 500 th is the one where the guy died, which understandably is offline again.

Looking at the data, it looks like none have gone live in a few days. Longer than normal, I wonder if they have been holding off on turning sites up for the big 500 announcement. With the death of the worker it could have us put back for a few more days. There are a few sites that are waiting for the switch to be turned. I'm wondering how many will be turned on shortly after the 500 announcement.

Those are located in service areas on opposite sides of a divided highway, so I think they qualify as separate locations. Hooksett NH is a good example.

Not to mention Ann Arbor. It would have been 500 by Tesla's count...

Indeed. Ann Arbor went live the night of August 20.

Tesla Motors website says 502 sites live

I think that is at least tweet-worthy.
