Welcome to the forum.

I'm not sure of the precise rules/timeline, but new registrations have a few restrictions (limited PMs, not being able to edit posts, et al.) After a few posts or a few days your account will be validated and the limitations are removed.

Have a look around and try the search function. There's a good chance someone has asked your question(s) previously. This is a friendly place full of helpful folks.
