We’re delighted to announce that Tom Saxton has joined Plug In America’s board, which brings our Seattle-area contingent up to three, with president Dan Davids and Vice President Chad Schwitters.​

Like Chad, Tom drives a Tesla and RAV4 EV. Tom and his wife Cathy just finished converting the inlet on their Tesla to J1772, making it the only Roadster in private hands so configured, to our knowledge. Tom has been active with the Seattle Electric Vehicle Assn., showing his EVs at events in WA. The photo here shows him (center) with U.S. Rep. Jay Inslee (D.-WA) at the dedication of a public charging station in Redmond.​

Sherry Boschert, meanwhile, has stepped down from her position as a founding board member. It’s not easy to overestimate how much Sherry has contributed to the success of Plug In America and a challenge to document her many efforts. We will point out, however, that Sherry, author of “Plug-in Hybrids: The Cars That Will Recharge America,” has been the driving force behind our groundbreaking guide to plug-in vehicles. And, we’re happy to note that she’s still quite active behind the scenes and continues to volunteer on projects about which she is passionate. Watch for Sherry’s blogs, too.
