New York Times - The Week Ahead: Tesla Motors Earnings

The company’s long-awaited new offering, the Model X sport utility vehicle, has faced several production delays but first deliveries are finally scheduled for September. Investors will be watching closely to see if the Model X is still on schedule and how many of the new S.U.V.s Tesla predicts it will sell this year.

Decide for yourself whether that's meaningful. My humble opinion is still that Founders will be delivered in September; possibly the first handful of Sigs.

All I can tell you is it is my birthday in September and a very reliable source told me they would have a Model X for me to look at during that month. Happy birthday!!

Deliveries are deliveries, I'm not going to get mine until next year, regardless, but I do want to see the final version!

I don't see this story as particularly significant. I think that this reporter is just quoting the "company line," with no more recent or better-confirmed info. Wednesday, we will hear the real story, from the horse's mouth.
