Making body repair cheaper?

Don't know if this has been posted already, but I think this repair was cheaper than going to an authorized Tesla repair facility.
Or maybe it's just a new aftermarket body kit...

This is a picture of Otmar's Wreckla (salvaged Model S) that he wanted to turn into a Strechla (Frankenstein of two VW buses welded front to back into one vehicle repurposed as an electric vehicle on top of the tesla chassis). He blogs about his progress on

but hasn't posted any updates for a year since tesla stopped selling parts to people with salvaged vehicles.
