Tesla Identifies radio songs with artist and songs???

wow, i was surprised to see this on my dashboard when i play radio songs! however this morning i noticed that it sometimes does this and sometimes doesnt. any reason why some songs are identified and some arent?

Try seeing what comes up with an HD AM station. Very odd.

What version software are you on? Because I've never seen the RDS on mine, not on any of the stations that I know supply it... HD or not.

I just randomly hit 2 FM HD stations and saw this with smaller versions on the dash display:

The radio stations supply the song title and the artist, and then the car goes out to try to figure out the album name and the album art.

The funniest one I get is when the local alt rock station is in between songs. They send out their dial position as the title and their slogan as the artist, and they do actually get a match for album name and album art.......

yep exactly. on a given radio station (top 40), alot of songs are badged, but some are not...weird..
