Together, Model S owners have driven over one billion miles. To get us on the road to our next billion, we invite you to join us for a unique event experience in Austin where we’ll show you just how easy it is to start your own electric mile count.
When you arrive, you’ll explore how easy Model S is to charge, how safe it is to drive, and how owning a Tesla fits seamlessly into your lifestyle.
Then, you’ll get behind the wheel to see exactly why the award winning Model S, with Autopilot features, redefines automobile engineering.
Please plan to spend about an hour with us. You’re welcome to bring guests to enjoy the event with you, please feel free to share this page with other interested drivers.

Start your count on August 21st, 2015. Spaces are limited. Register today.
August 21st: 12pm-6pm
August 22nd: 10am-6pm
August 23rd: 12pm-5pm

Appointments will be confirmed by a Tesla representative. appointments are available to prospective customers.
A Tesla Product Specialist will accompany all drives to ensure you optimize your time in Model S.

I'm going to be in Austin that weekend for something else, and I thought I might stop by. Do you know if you need to be invited by Tesla to come as an owner?

They're in Southlake every other month, so that's not a huge deal. They're still working on how they intend to involve owners with the event.

I got an invite just now, but I don't understand what's in it for us owners. I don't need another test drive and that seems to be the main point of the event???

The original intent appears to have been to have owners share how much they love their cars with perspective owners, but that has gone by the wayside.

Since you don't have a D, I think you're an appropriate target for a demo drive.

In any event, come join us at Cars at the Club at Texas Motor Speedway instead (see link above)!

I had previously RSVP'd for this event, and was told the event was already full via a telephone call from Palo Alto.

Then the invitation shows up in my email today....

So I RSVP'd a second time for this event this evening, plan to be going to Southlake Sunday morning whether I hear back from them or not.
(8 am is a much better starting time than the local Dallas/Plano C&C where you arrive @ 5:30 am and wait in line for an hour before they even open the gates, lucky if you can get two parking spots together).

I do wish TM would be more clear and consistent with their communication.

I wonder how they decided which owners to invite? It seems many of us have not yet received an invitation of any sort.

Who knows how they select who gets invites. I would think that D owners might be off the list and they would target owners who might upgrade. But obviously, that was not the criteria.

Thanks for letting me know on the owner invite, Rick. The e-mail went out on Wednesday so let me double check the list (should have been all owners in the area). We’d love to see you at the Southlake Hilton from 8am-10am this Sunday.

Did you get the invite for the drive event or for the coffee reception from 8a-10a? The owner reception is supposed to be to promote owner enthusiasm....not necessarily
to sell cars
