Nearby in Bruges, the Plubic Welfare places 4560 solar panels throughout the whole site, including solar carports. Each row of parkings normally has a few charging stations for cars/bikes

But the true eye catcher are 12 huge tracker solar arrays. No real picture to be found for the moment, but I saw them in real life and they are absolutely stunning!

BBC News - The car port that charges while you shop

That looks like a Rolec / ZCW Wallpod attached to this thing.

The company claims the SunStation is the first 100% green charging station for electric vehicles, because all power comes from the Sun.

    It's all about this: http://www.lumossolar.com/content/pd...anopy-2012.pdf

    5.76 kW

In Portland, OR (Where my company installs these), the carport will provide enough annual energy to offset a Model S 18,500 miles a year.
In Southern CA, that will provide enough annual energy to offset a Model S driving 25,000 miles a year.

autostrada rest stop Most of the rest areas in Italy have these solar panels/shade covers. Pretty cool. I think Italy is trying to catch up with the rest of W Europe in solar.
