Red Plug Installation in Abu Dhabi - Electrician Critique?

Hi. I am posting this in the European forums since our electrical grid closely resembles that of the UK. I just had my electrician complete my 16A 3-Phase Red Plug installation. My electrician wired each of the 3 phases to a 20A breaker + neutral and earth. He installed a separate circuit direct from the breaker to the plug and used 5x 2.5 sq.mm. cross section cable.

Alex.

1. the main panel breaker rated at 415V 100A.

4. Making space in the breaker by moving the 1-Phases down.

5. The cable is threaded using existing conduits, keeping an existing 13A circuit intact.

6. All installed at the breaker.

7. Both plugs wired and almost ready

9. All done.

Well I managed to get a critique from Tesla. I asked them 2 simple questions since I was not able to match their specification exactly:

Is there any harm if the voltage is 415 instead of 400?
Is there any harm if I go with a 20A breaker instead of 16A?

Their response below:

Thank you for your e-mail on 5 July 2015 regarding the charging installation for your Tesla Model S.

The 415V should not be a problem for charging your car. The Universal Mobile Connector (UMC) and Model S allow for a certain deviation from the standard 400V. When you connect the UMC it should give a green light on the charging box and then you should be able to charge.

A 20A breaker instead of a 16A is not a problem. The charge cable is limited to 16A and will not ask any more from your outlet, neither will the Model S.

We hope we have informed you sufficiently. If you have any additional questions or remarks, please, do not hesitate to contact us again.

Kind Regards,
