I stopped at the Mitsubishi Dealer asked about the "i" had a very good talk with an educated salesman that told me they would not sell the car per the manager yet they had a banner hung up showing the car. I called several weeks before and was told they were getting one. He wondered why I wanted an EV told him back and forth to work no gas etc. Casually mentioned that another dealer had them in stock 30 miles away and he asked me to show it to them if I got one. Spoke to him about Tesla also with there great range.

Elon has said that a 500-mile battery is feasible, but there's no market for it. Maybe if they made a few, and then made these available as rentals for Model S owners who need a really long range occasionally?

    Hey guys,

Just want to let you know I took the Focus EV for a quick test drive today. Didn't really look much at the interior, but focused more on the experience and what not. So, the acceleration was alright, I would say better than my 2001 Ford Focus ZX3 (manual). It felt like the front would pull left and right as I accelerated, so I'm thinking they didn't deal with all the torque very well. I remember reading comments on here about front-wheel drive cars and a lot of torque. The regen in drive was not all that much. I put it in L and the regen appeared to be heavier, but still not enough for single pedal driving. As I've only drove the Roadster as the other EV, I definitely prefer the Roadster's EV. Overall, I enjoyed the drive still, the electric factor is just really nice, but for $40k, I more than likely wouldn't get it.

I just leased a Ford Focus Electric 2013 in Tuxedo Black with leather interior. The price was right ($199/month, $2500 down) and I can drive an EV while waiting for the battery technology to improve. So far I have had it 3 days and love it.
