In the paint protection film industry, it is a highly skilled craft that cannot be taught overnight. Unfortunately, this market has seen an influx of companies in various automotive industries pick this up as a side revenue generator, yet promote that the skill and experience is there. To date, we have worked on over 500 Teslas for both Spectra PhotoSync and paint protection film installations and have seen them all. Many Tesla owners do ask us from time to time, what the difference is between Premier and other companies in the area. Our answer is simple, we have been installing paint protection film since 1997 and doing it ever since. Most "certified" installers run through a 3-4 day course and then are "certified" to install on $100,000+ vehicles. Below is a simple example of a Tesla P85D that came in and needed all the film removed and replaced because he was not happy with the seams on the hood edges, fender edges, and the two piece application on the front bumper. This example here, is actually one of the better installs we have seen that needs a redo.
