Interior Storage questions

Leave as is, is probably the best choice because there is no one layout that will please everyone. The way it is now folks can add as required.

Many of us like the minimalist design, and those who want a center console can add it. Think of all the things we carried in our cars in the past that we no longer need storage for:
Maps- no, we have navigtion
CDs or cassette tapes- no, we have Slacker, or USB key, or iPhone, etc.
Change- no, most parts of the country have toll tags

There is a shelf under the main screen that's perfect for a sunglasses case and parking card, also the kangaroo pouch on the front seat for cards that some people haven't discovered until they've had the car doe a while.

I've only had the car a week and knew about neither. Just went out and found the shelf but can't find the pouch you mentioned. Which seat and where on the seat? Thanks.

If you don't have leather, you won't have the pouch.

Yep, us with the "multi pattern" black seats don't have the pouch. :smile:

This guy will custom make a center console for you and you can put as many cup holders as you want. Looks like you might be able to fit 8 in there.

But only on older cars. None of the seats currently in production have the pouch.

I believe the pouch is missing on the new gen seats. It's only the original leather seats.

I didn't notice the OP's signature line said textile seats, but I guess that doesn't make a difference anymore now that the leather driver's seat no longer has the kangaroo pouch. I wonder why they dropped that secret compartment?

also at some point they made performance passenger seats with the front pouch. My original '12 didn't have one

I have the front pocket on the leather seats. Picked up my 85D two weeks ago.

The glove box also lost the recessed areas to store the j1772 adapters which sucks.

I was looking at this in a 70D just this past weekend. I thought maybe I misunderstood what this looks like. Perhaps the D models don't have this spot anymore?

Earlier D models have this cubbyhole spot, later ones do not have it.
