Sounds like a great deal. But unfortunately it does not seem to have Air Suspension. I don't think buyers will consider the sales tax in your price. Thats a loss you have to absorb.

The $ 3,000 is for vehicles ordered after Mar 31st. Does not apply to past vehicles. I would think it would be more than $ 4,250. Plus is the hardware already there ?

I would double-check that with Tesla. All cars manufactured since September 2014 have everything needed for Autopilot - even if they are a late 2014/early 2015 without the tech package. The question really is if Tesla would turn it on after-the-fact for a private party sale. That said, along the lines you mention, it may not be activated at the same $3k price they charge for new vehicles.

Of course they would. They would get $3000 for flicking a switch.

The autopilot hardware should be there, but upgrade would cost more than $3000 I believe. This is a badly configured P85D. You can forgo everything except pano roof, tech package and air suspension.
It'll be almost impossible to upgrade after delivery.

Yes, the cost of AutoPilot for this Vehicle is $ 4,250 at the time of purchase. So I would expect it would be at least $ 5,000 or more to flip the switch. Yes, I agree its badly configured for re-sale. There will be a very small number of potential buyers and its going to be hard.
