I'm in for the long haul. I've pointed out before that my mind set is one of paying tithes to the future via Tesla. They can have every cent I invested. Like I said I invested a responsible amount. Making money, for me, when it comes to Tesla, is just an added side benefit but not required for my investment in TSLA.

I believe that Tesla is necessary.

    What's the new target? $49 ?
Buying an EV is one thing, being able to drive it beyond city limits another...

Short float for the prior period is reported after the close. Upgrade + Reduced short position = short squeeze? One can hope.

I think that is a record one day rise, record volume, record top and record close. That's a sweep. One word for the shorts. RUN!

Are you just guessing? Definitely not a record one day rise. You need only look back to Jan 13 after the stock had plummeted the day prior after 2 execs left the company. It went up more in absolute terms ($3.81 vs. $3.32) and more as a percentage (16.72% vs. 9.74%). It did trade and close at an all-time high for the company today though.

Nope. Didn't sell and actually raised by sell price to 60. We broke resistance, and have so much that could cause a spike. The volume today wasn't even that high. It ended 3x normal, but it you watched until about noon-1 pm it was actually pretty normal. Very interesting. Seems short float decreased (Barely though) This could get interesting. I stand by my theory that if we hit 40 the shirts are crushed. I guess we'll see.

At what level do you guys think there will be a short squeeze? Unless I'm mistaken TSLA shares are still being heavily shorted. Do you think that'll occur once we've passed $40/share or higher? With all the huge milestones coming up it has to be making the shorts really nervous and anxious to get rid of those positions.

Can wait to see TSLA shares 0nce we have a short squeeze.

I don't think we will see a squeeze until Tesla starts shipping cars. And probably not until they can ramp up production. My guess is September October. There is so much potential for downward swing if Tesla has problems delivering or if there are major problems with the first cars. My guess is most shorts will cover until then.

Think with dispassion; Speak with equanimity; Act in calm.

There sure has been tramendous growth in this stock. I bought at the IPO and again in Januaray when it was around $21. So no complaints BUT I don't understand why so many longs are excited about short squeeze. By definition a short squeeze is a temporary lift in share price when the 'shorts' cover in mass. Post Squeeze the share price will come back down to earth as it will have increased due to a temporary onslaught of buy orders (covering).

I for one would much rather see a steady monthly increase of 1-2% in value vs. wild swings that only act to support a volatile share price. Slow and steady wins the race.... and it also gets you more miles on your electric car! Best of luck to you all!
