Is there any way to search playlists and choose specific songs from an iPhone music library with the phone connected to the usb port? Through Bluetooth all I am able to do is go forward and reverse through the active playlist. Manual indicates this is correct however, even most crappy rental cars now allow you to search through iPhone playlists if plugged into usb. Just want to make sure I haven't missed something with the model s.

The USB port serves only to charge with an iPhone though it can play music from a USB drive. But, with with the iPhone on a power source you can search for specific artists or songs using Siri purely by voice.
