I just sold my 2013 F10 M5 on Saturday and am picking up my new P85D today in an hour. Any thoughts on questions to ask or look out for at delivery? Thanks for the help! I have been watching this forum for months now. Glad to be a contributing member now!

Congrats!

There are many pieces to a car, and it's always hard to check them all during a delivery. That's OK, Tesla is pretty good about fixing things later if it turns out the car was not delivered right. The one area you might pay special attention to at delivery is cosmetic damage...because it you come back with it later, Tesla is never sure if it was delivered that way or if you added it. If the light is not good, ask if they'll move the car so you can check it out.

Other than that, you know you have a good resource here for questions. If you have questions about charging, ask them because that's important to have down right away; otherwise ask for the key and start driving it! It really is a very easy car to drive; most of the tips and tricks here are for advanced users trying to get every last bit out of it.

First request is to direct you to the page in your screen where the "Insane" Mode is.

You are going to love your new car... During delivery, just make sure you review all the operations with the specialist. Also, take a close look at any potential damages, so there's no questions later about who did it.

Wow, we're practically twins. Trading in my 2013 F10 M5 next month when my new ordered P85D arrives. It seems a lot of people on this forum have moved from BMW Ms into the Model S.

Count me in... I sold my M3 for the P85D (never owned an M5 though). Overall I couldn't be happier although the BMW still wins on steering feel and confidence behind the wheel - this is where they excel. If only BMW made a true EV to rival Tesla...

Congratulations, exciting times! I also came from a BMW, and I still love both brands. Each has their own merits, though I would say the newer model BMW's have lost their "BMW-ness" it feels like. The drive feels increasingly closer to the Lexus/Mercedes disconnected driver experience
