Slow to Start the 3G/NAVI

Hi recently received my MODEL S D. Love almost everything about it.
My only issue is the UI is slow to latch on to a 3G signal quickly. When I jet out of my garage it usually takes 3-4 minutes to get a cell signal...Therefore the internet radio and the NAVI don't work for 3-4 minutes....any thoughts?

Are you in a bad coverage area for AT&T? Are you connecting to wifi at home?

My house is a cell dead zone & prior to Tesla activating WiFi we faced the same situation, so now I start Nav & Slacker before leaving the driveway while still on WiFi.

in toronto so perhaps the at&t connection is not that strong.

It's because you're Canadian. Like me. Second class network citizens.

There's another thread with other Canadians noticing slow to ... do stuff on 3G and get connected via 3G. Inbound, outbound, re-establishing after reboots.

do we know for certain that it is carried by ATT? If so, wouldn't a microcell help?
