I hope that this article provokes some interest in legislation to open up direct sales for Tesla, but it looks to be an uphill battle with well-financed and well-connected forces. In some ways, it is hard to fathom that a state that prides itself in eliminating bureaucracy and red tape, wants to keep anti-competitive laws. Maybe its not so hard to understand when the largest newspaper in the state sides with the dealers who clearly buy a hellova lot a newspaper ads for cars every week.
