Hello all.
We have arranged for a group trip to the Nethercutt Museum and Collection
in Sylmar for March 28th. We are setup for a group tour of the collection
at 1:30 pm. Separately, the museum is a self guided tour. See below for a
description of the collection and museum.
The Nethercutt is requesting an estimate of how many cars and people will
be attending, so we need anyone interested in going to please signup via
the google link below. feel free to bring as many people as you can fit
in your car. The tour is free.
We are still in the planning stages of the day however for your planning
it is approximately 69 miles from John Wayne Airport to the Nethercutt. My
thought is to arrive early enough to walk through the museum on our own,
before our 1:30 tour of the collection
My initial thought is to meet at the portola coffee company in costa mesa
and depart as a group around 8:30 AM. We could drive to the Redondo Beach
Supercharger and have a group breakfast at the hotel(Hilton Garden Inn)
while we charge up our cars ( of course swapping so that everyone gets a
charge). depart the Superchargers at approximately 10:30 arriving at the
Nethercutt at 1115-1130. Leaving us time to walk around the museum before
our 1:30 tour.
Drive home after tour will be on your own.

THE NETHERCUTT COLLECTION
Among the treasures spanning four floors in the collection’s original
facility is one of the world’s most outstanding assortments of beautifully
restored antique, classic automobiles. They are showcased in an exquisite
re-creation of an opulent automotive grand salon of the 1920's and 1930's.
An amazing collection of automobile mascots, antique furniture, clocks and
watches, and one of the worlds finest collections of Mechanical Musical
Instruments are displayed in our music room.
THE NETHERCUTT MUSEUM
The Nethercutt Museum showcases more than 130 of the world’s greatest
antique, vintage, classic and special interest automobiles including many
top winners of the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance.
1937 CANADIAN PACIFIC ROYAL HUDSON LOCOMOTIVE AND 1912 PULLMAN PRIVATE CAR
Just steps outside the Museum are a perfectly restored steam locomotive
and a Private Car, which was owned by the eldest daughter of Santa Anita
Race Track founder, E.J. “Lucky” Baldwin.
