Well, I knew it was bound to happen sooner or later. One of the people in my carpool from Irvine to El Segundo ended up taking a job closer to home, and won't be carpooling with my group any longer. The other (original) member of my carpool, is going in with a co-worker at 5 a.m. (a little too early for me). If someone made an affordable, long-range (150-200 mi) electric, my conundrum would be over. I'd just get an EV, and drive solo in the carpool lane. But none of the models currently out there in my budget have a long enough total range for me to comfortably make a round trip. Sigh. I wish the Model 3 was out already!
The other issue is I only go up to El Segundo one day a week, so it'll be hard to find a carpool buddy with the same schedule. I guess my options are leaving at a later time, or just sucking it up and slogging along in the So Cal stop & go. :frown:
