Why refuse to install
"Tesla will absolutely unequivocally refuse to install it" Source? I am not saying they would necesarily install it but don't understand why not if it has documented history and tests ok.
I understand Tesla won't support wrecked vehicles but would be interested to hear what their stance is in regards to used parts.
Like others have said if they won't install it you can perhaps use it for solar storage. Or perhaps for building a modified car/hot rod or something like that
