    I thought world wide was around 12K and around 7K in the US.

    I saw Leaf VIN #8000 locally recently. At it wasn't totally new - it had carpool stickers already.
    Mine is VIN < 1000...

    On Jan 20th the Leaf hit 10,000 units sold in the USA. And they have been selling about 700 a month so they are well over 12,000 in US sales.
