SC at South Coast Plaza

Heard from whom?

I found three charging spots going into South Coast Plaza but it doesn't say Tesla anywhere.

This is permit probably isn't tesla. Tesla would be put More than 3 stalls. Four is typically the min.

For this very busy area I'd think they'd put in 12 stalls.

Agreed, the permit for 3 charging stations won't be a Supercharger. But it could be more HPWCs. There is currently one HPWC at that mall.

However if your source said 8 charging stations, and he knows they are specifically for Tesla, that sounds like it could be a Supercharger. But I would not rule out more HPWCs.

Yippee! Another SpC along the 405! Just what we needed. And Fountain Valley is coming next too. Maybe in a year every single exit along the 405 will have a SpC because we totally have a need for all these, Tesla.

I'm sure Tesla will start placing SCs on the 5 and in the San Fernando and Pasadena areas soon. Patience.

I am quite encouraged by these new SCs in urban areas. Tesla has recognized that there are many potential urban customers who don't have home parking spaces with charging power. They need SCs along major urban commuting routes.

There is a lot of construction being done on I-5, They will probably wait until things finalize.
