German Car Mag review of the Roadster

    This was posted on Facebook.
Notoriously tough critics at Germany's largest car magazine performed the most rigorous third-party tests ever on the Roadster. Their consensus? "The first EV convinces the car freaks: The Roadster Sport combines exhilarating driving performance with practicable range."

    (Another) corrected link: Article

The article "claims" 0-62mph (100km/h) in 4.3s and that's for the Sport model, as well as emphasizing that performance is very dependent on several conditions, including SOC, temperature of the ESS and motor, and performance mode. They did like the brakes (contrary to some other prior comments over time from various other sources). Energy cost: Euro4/100km (approx $0.08 per mile at current (weaker Euro) rates and (obviously) European kWh cost). They did drive it pretty hard judging by the photos ... in "Bild 2 von 20" the Roadster is on three wheels!

The pictures were so good and fresh it compeled me to try a Google translation.

    Some lines are still undecipherable.
It would go more if Tesla laptopbewährten Standard parts more expensive, so-called Coffeebags use would take place, because of their flat shape heat can make better.

The world loves to be deceived.

By "It would go more" they really mean "It would be even more" and are referring to the 53kWh based on 18650's. And the whole of it is better translated as "It would be even more [kWh], if Tesla would use -- instead of the laptop-proven standard parts -- expensive, so called "Coffebags", which could -- due to their flat shape -- better dissipate heat."

Good catch! I missed the "plugged in" being lit up. And, yes, that's probably what it shows (30A * 375V (DC) (approx.) = 11.35kW). Makes sense, since while driving the same gauge shows DC kW from the battery. (As opposed to 30A from the AC wall plug (30A * 240V (AC) = 7.2kW).)

Interesting, although not particularly useful since the VDS can give a more accurate value, but at least they've fixed the kp/h decal:
