Agreed. Fortunately no innocent bystanders were hurt.

I'm sure the P85D has far better traction control than that monster ICE car. But at the moment there are no automatic vehicle safety systems that can prevent drivers from driving like idiots.

Interesting concept though... We need something similar on the P85D...

And a couple a weeks ago in Dallas a similar event occurred.
Less than 24 hours, and a new McLaren P1 met a similar fate.

I believe this is called 'Karma'

I think it's more of someone buying a car they didn't know how to properly drive and taking unnecessary risks by speeding on public roads. Countless stories like this.
